24 Hours of Silence
Not sure if life has been creating a chaotic spin in the last month or what but here’s what I do know... we need a break. A break from the craziness, a break from thinking, a break from scheduled activity, a break from commitments.
Imagine giving yourself a gift of 24 hours of silence? What would that be like? What’s the thought of it like?
“No way – I would die” or “That would be heaven” or something in between?
Having done this before, I can tell you I came out of my 24 hours of silence feeling rejuvenated, refreshed, really got CLEAR about who I am and how I felt. It was the best gift I could have received.
So here is my challenge to you if you “want it all to stop” – find a place to go for 24 hours all by yourself. Yes, really! It could be a friends’ house, a hotel, a B and B, camping... whatever your heart desires. And don’t talk to anyone, don’t bring any work, don’t schedule anything and allow yourself to see what happens.
I’m checking myself into this gorgeous B and B on the lake next month... just me and my journal and my yoga mat... I can’t wait... ahhhh!

Help my friend Jeanette give a life back to her family.
Tragedy hits us just when we least expect it. Here is a note from my friend Jeanette – please support her. I’ve just placed my order.
10 Days ago my Sister Angela(29) and my brother in-law Marc(29) were attacked in front of their house in South Africa. Angela was shot in the leg and Marc was shot 3 times and through a miracle is a live. Tragically, he faces the rest of his life in a wheelchair as his spinal cord was damaged.
Marc will be going to a rehabilitation center for a minimum of three months to learn how to live life as a paraplegic. Even though they have a medical aid, only a portion of the cost of rehabilitation will be paid. Over and above that there are medication costs, remodelling of their home, refitting of his car so that he will be able to drive again one day and loss of income.
I am trying to raise funds to help Marc and Angela with all the expenses they are faced with. If you would like to help us by ordering some of the yummy dishes that I am offering it would mean so much to us.

Personal Reflection
My good friend Anne Day, founder of Company of Women, reminded me recently that “when one door closes, another one opens YET the hallway in the middle SUCKS”. How true is that? I am right in the middle of the hallway now, feeling uncomfortable and yet knowing it is the best place for me. Being uncomfortable is the place of extreme growth. In this hallway, I am in the midst of the two businesses I am running and I feel overwhelmed, very conscious of how much I DO NOT know and sometimes a little lost. I can honestly say that this is such a great place for me because it is so new. Here, I get to explore how to get un-overwhelmed, learn from experts and allow for direction and answers to show up in my life because I have no answers right now. This edge.. this edge right here... I’ve never been here before. I encourage you to be fully aware (without judgement) of what edge you are willing to explore. Let me know what the view is like there...
