As in all of my past issues of From Ordinary to Great!, this Greatness Tip section is inspired by what comes up for my most recent clients in the past several weeks.  There always seems to be a theme and I notice they often reflect where I am in my life.  So here is what is coming up this week - Boy, is everyone ever working hard right now!!

In the last 2 weeks, I have continuously heard comments such as these:  "I've tried that, I've made all my calls, I've tried every possible thing I can think of, why doesn't this work, I'm not getting the results I want."  What strikes me is that when we work hard, we are trying to MAKE things happen. The feeling when we make things happen is often a draining, forceful energy and it tires us out.  On the other hand, when we ALLOW things to happen, we open ourselves up; our actions are purposeful yet our energy is flowing and easy.

Many of us have been conditioned to believe that we must feel like "it's hard" in order to achieve incredible results in our lives.  What if it was easy?  In yoga, my teacher always says that when a pose gets difficult, we should soften our muscles rather than tense them.  In life, soften up the energy and see what happens.  Want to learn more about this?  Give us a call – 416 909 7251.

This is not a new discovery for me yet I often forget to include this in my daily life.  Every week, I receive a great reminder that music brings me those amazing warm, "so-good" feelings. I am sitting here in the back of the room at my daughter Megan's choir practice and I am completely taken away by the voices of these amazing 6 – 9 year olds.  Their gorgeous voices with the incredible accompaniment of the pianist often makes me get all teary eyed at these practices.  I can't wait until the concert next weekend when both my girls and their choirs will be singing with a visiting boys choir from the Czech Republic.  So what have I learned?  I realize that I look forward to choir practices each week so I can get my weekly dose of "Ahhh!"  I think maybe I need to stop what I'm doing when my kids do their choir practices at home so I can enjoy a daily dose, rather than a weekly shot of their amazing voices.  I'm curious – what makes YOU feel all good inside that you could have more of in your daily life?
